Mooloolaba Foreshore Playground, QLD
Bespoke Wire & Rope collaborated with Sunshine Coast Council, Murphy Builders, and Forge to deliver Flexi-mesh barriers for the Mooloolaba Foreshore Playground. Installed along the connecting bridge and the vertical rope tunnel, the system was designed to withstand the harsh saltwater environment while maintaining architectural precision and safety.
Location: Mooloolaba, QLD
Completion Date: December 2022
Client: Sunshine Coast Council
Builder: Murphy Builders and Forge
Architect: AECOM & Bark Architects

Our Scope
Bespoke supplied and installed Flexi-mesh barriers across key play elements, including the bridge linking the two playgrounds and the exterior of the vertical rope tunnel. Supported by 6mm tensioned stainless steel cables, the mesh was shaped, trimmed, and swaged on site to align with complex compound angles and attachment details.
The barriers were installed to:
Provide safe and durable protection for high-use play elements
Withstand the harsh coastal environment with G316 stainless steel
Achieve precision fitting through on-site shaping, trimming, and swaging
Meet tight timelines and access constraints with adaptive installation
This project highlights Bespoke’s ability to deliver technically complex, site-specific Flexi-mesh installations that balance durability, precision, and public safety in challenging coastal environments.
