Nine by Mirvac Playground, Willoughby NSW
Bespoke Wire & Rope worked with Forge and Mirvac to deliver Flexi-Mesh screens for the Nine by Mirvac redevelopment in Willoughby, NSW. Installed within the former Channel 9 Studio tower, the project required careful detailing and early input from Bespoke to adapt the design to the existing structure. The result is a striking and functional playground feature that integrates seamlessly into a landmark site.

Our Scope
Bespoke supplied and installed custom Flexi-Mesh panels shaped to suit the unique geometry of the tower. Our team assisted with connection detailing throughout design, ensuring that attachment points could be integrated into the existing structure. Most panels were prefabricated to size, with some trimmed and tensioned onsite to guarantee accuracy and avoid delays.
The mesh was installed to:
Enclose the tower safely while maintaining transparency and airflow
Adapt to the structural constraints of an existing repurposed building
Create a durable, low-maintenance system suited to public use
This project highlights Bespoke’s ability to integrate tensile mesh into adaptive reuse developments, combining safety and design with technical problem-solving.
