Lay On Hammock Net, Newport
Bespoke Wire & Rope designed, engineered, and installed a custom hammock net for a high-end residence in Newport. Suspended in the first-floor lounge, the net was meticulously crafted to support up to 500kg, combining technical precision with a playful touch.

Our Scope
Zeid Projects engaged Bespoke Wire & Rope to create a custom hammock net for a luxury home in Newport. The project included designing and installing the supporting structure — Parallel Flange Channels (PFC) on all four sides, tabs, and round bar — to ensure the net could safely hold an evenly distributed load of up to 500kg. Hauling long lengths of PFC from the street up to the first floor took some serious muscle from the team.
Following our usual process, we:
Installed the main supporting structure and welded the tabs in place
Allowed the cladding team to sheet the surrounding area, leaving the tabs protruding
Returned to weld the round bar onto the tabs once cladding was complete
Sanded and painted the surrounding area before installing the net
The hammock net was the final piece to be installed — ready for lounging, leaning, or just enjoying a mid-air moment.
