10mm Decorative Cable Entrance
A decorative cable entrance engineered and installed for Clyde Community Centre. Precision alignment and custom steelwork delivered a striking architectural feature.
10mm Decorative Cable Entrance
Bespoke Wire & Rope worked with Beachwood Homes to design, engineer, and install a decorative tensioned cable system for the entrance of Clyde Community Centre. The project required additional structural steel and precise cleat alignment to achieve both design intent and structural integrity.
Location: Playwright St, Clyde North, VIC
Completion Date: September 2022
Builder: Beachwood Homes

Our Scope
Bespoke designed, engineered, supplied, and installed a 10mm decorative cable system for the main entrance. The engineering review highlighted the need for additional steel beyond the original drawings, demonstrating the importance of early involvement in the design process.
Our installation included an additional steel subframe with angled and varied cleats. The cables were not only fanned but also installed across different planes, requiring precise articulation and placement. Given the limited flexibility of the fork heads on the swage fittings, accuracy in set-out and detailing was critical.
The cables were installed to:
Create a decorative architectural entrance feature
Align with complex angles and multiple planes
Ensure structural integrity through additional engineered steelwork
Demonstrate Bespoke’s capability in handling non-standard geometries
This project highlights Bespoke’s ability to resolve engineering challenges and deliver decorative solutions with structural precision.
