Aia Memorial Sculpture
Custom stainless steel screens and rigging designed and installed for the Aia Memorial sculpture at Bundoora Park Farm.
Aia Memorial Sculpture
Bespoke Wire & Rope collaborated with SBLA Architects and the City of Darebin to design and install rigging for a public artwork in memory of Aia Maasarwe. The project combined engineering precision with sensitivity to the landscaped site.
Location: Bundoora Park Farm, VIC
Completion Date: July 2021
Client: SBLA Architects / City of Darebin
Architect: SBLA Architects

Our Scope
Bespoke was engaged to assist with the connection and rigging details for the memorial sculpture. The installation used 4mm stainless steel cables fitted with hamma Regatta swage fittings, chosen for their strength and quality.
To protect the newly landscaped surrounds, conventional EWP access was avoided. Instead, our installation team used tirfors and ladders, demonstrating Bespoke’s versatility and problem-solving capabilities across challenging site conditions.
The screens and rigging were installed to:
Secure and stabilise the suspended sculpture
Deliver a durable stainless steel screen system
Preserve the landscaped environment during installation
Support the artistic vision of the memorial design
This project highlights Bespoke’s ability to adapt rigging and screen solutions for public art while respecting both engineering and environmental requirements.
