Various Wire Splices, Western Victoria
Custom hand-spliced wire terminations for heavy-duty winch cables, ensuring logging machinery remains stable and safe on steep forest terrain.
Various Wire Splices,
Western Victoria
Bespoke Wire & Rope was engaged by Clearwater Transport & Logging to deliver a series of custom wire splices across multiple forestry sites in Western Victoria. With safety in logging operations an increasing focus, these spliced eye terminations provided the critical anchorage needed to secure heavy machinery working on steep slopes.
Location: Multiple forest locations, Western Victoria
Completion Date: 2022
Client: Clearwater Transport & Logging

Our Scope
Bespoke spliced heavy-duty loops into the ends of large winch cables used in steep-slope logging operations. These cables are spooled on machines positioned at the top of a slope, threaded through sheaves, and attached to harvesting machinery operating further down the hillside. The anchored cables act as stabilisers, preventing the equipment from toppling during operation.
The splices were delivered on-site, with our team travelling off-road to reach remote forest locations. The constant movement of the cables during use demanded precise, durable splicing to withstand ongoing stress while maintaining compliance with safety requirements.
The wire splices were completed to:
Provide secure anchoring loops for winch cables in logging machinery
Ensure stability and safety for equipment operating on steep slopes
Deliver field-ready rigging expertise directly in remote forestry locations
Support the logging industry’s rising focus on safe, reliable anchorage systems
This project highlights Bespoke’s adaptability, rigging expertise, and ability to deliver critical safety systems in challenging environments.
