Bespoke were engaged to install the cable and mesh balustrade systems for the Alfred St Pedestrian Bridge. The works involved:

• Installing hamma Standoff anchors

• Installing 6mm 1x19 tensioned stainless steel perimeter cables

• Installing 2mm Flexi-mesh panels (40x70mm aperture)

• Installing tensioned 3.5mm hamma Pro cable balustrades on the bridge, walkways, and underpass

The project required close sequencing with the balustrade fabricator and installer to ensure sufficient progress was made for our team to continue works. Bespoke collaborated directly with designers and fabricators to resolve intricate details not achievable with proprietary items.

Having a skilled fabricator on site allowed us to assist with balustrade installation and fabricate custom connections, ensuring the system’s performance and architectural finish.

The balustrades were installed to:

• Provide fall protection across bridge and underpass walkways

• Deliver a compliant and durable tensile system

• Integrate Flexi-mesh and cable systems seamlessly into the structure

• Support the architectural vision with precision detailing
