Bespoke designed, engineered, supplied, and installed a multi-level vertical cable balustrade system and a rooftop anti-throw screen.

For the staircase balustrade, the detailing and shop drawing phase was critical. Holes were laser cut in the steelwork and pre-drilled into stringer rails, requiring perfect alignment to ensure the cables tracked consistently. Each cable was pre-assembled in our factory, fixed at the top, and threaded through intermediate stringers before being swaged and tensioned on site, delivering accuracy across all levels.

The rooftop anti-throw screen was engineered and fabricated with attachment cleats welded to the main sub-structure, designed to withstand the loads of the tensioned mesh system. The result was a compliant, transparent system that maintained safety without obstructing views.

The systems were installed to:

• Provide compliant fall protection for a multi-level staircase

• Deliver rooftop anti-throw screening to prevent risk from elevated areas

• Achieve millimetre-precise alignment of cables through engineered detailing

• Balance safety compliance with architectural intent
